The formulation minimizes the wax needed to maintain the balm shape and utilizes a blend of thick, high-viscosity and paste oils for the non-wax oil components. This achieves a soft texture and appropriate adherence to the lips.

An amino-acid based paste oil helps the film adhere to the lips, while moisture-retaining oils lock in water. Additionally, petrolatum firmly seals in the moisture, ensuring the film remains close-fitting and hydration is long-lasting after application.

Since the film is supple and non-sticky, it can also be used as a lip primer (lip base). It is recommended as a base layer when you want to add hydration to your existing lipstick or achieve a glossy finish with a matte lipstick.
